InSeptember 2012, an Indonesian client ordered a scrap metal recycling line from us. Previously, they packed their iron with a baler, achieving iron blocks with a size of 600×500 mm. But steel company refused their iron blocks because of the presence of rock and sand. Then they had to remove those impurities.
According to this situation and client's requirements, we came up with a suitable solution, dividing the process into two stages. At the first stage, we chose two shaft shredder to tear the metal into small pieces. At the stage two, a hammerhead shredder was chosen to further decrease the metal size. Then iron pieces will be separated from nonferrous metals by a magnetic separator. Thus 99% iron was retrieved.
In addition to perfectly meeting client's needs, our scrap metal recycling equipment also has lower power consumption and processing cost, and simpler maintenance requirements, comparing with the large size hammerhead shredder on the market.
